Students worked on MRS 1 question 6. This lead to good follow up discussion about word problems and inequalities. In addition 6.67 hours was a good source of conversation to fractions and time in general.
Students were put in groups based on the results of their solving equation quiz. Students got their quizzes back and then attempted to make corrections in their small groups at the board. Students were assigned a second version for a replacement grade.

Students worked on question 5 on MRS 1. Discussed modeling three times a number is less than two times a number as the inequality 3x<2x. This allowed us to bridge into solving inequalities which was the topic of their HW last night. After reviewing students were assigned classwork. and were assigned the rest of the EVENS for HW this weekend.

Students worked on MRS 1 question 4. Students had lengthy discussion in small groups about how long and how fast the husband and wife walked. Participation in the discussion ultimately decided the level of competence any individual student had with this type of problem.
Students used chromebooks to bring up the previous night's work. They were asked to discuss in their groups solutions to some of the bookwork and some of the word problems.
Students were assigned a video and a fill in the blank for homework. This should be shared back with roachtoohey@gmail.com.

Students were given an MRS.
MRS1
We will use this as a warm up each day, doing 1 problem a day for two weeks. Students will turn in at end of two weeks. In theory they should have each problem correct as we will go over each in class.
Students discussed their HW from the weekend. Most seem to have a decent understanding of solving equations. They will need some extra help with variables on both sides.
Students were assigned to create a Gmail account as we will be using Google Chromebooks in class. They will need a Gmail account to access Google cloud software. They were assigned to email us.
